The Facial Bar, also known as Express Skin Care Spa, was founded in 2015 by Cecilia, a licensed esthetician who saw a gap in the spa industry for skincare that blends expertise, convenience, and affordability. The locally and woman-owned business now operates three locations across the Kansas City metro, including Olathe, Kansas, built around a mission to make skincare "easy, effective, and enjoyable" for busy clients without pressure or overwhelm. The company emphasizes efficient, time-conscious treatments and budget-friendly pricing, aiming to help clients "see skincare differently." The Facial Bar has been recognized with Pitch Magazine's "Best Day Spa" award as part of Best of KC in 2021 and has received 18 combined nominations for local "Best of" honors over five years, while also donating more than $12,500 to charities supporting women, children, and the LGBTQ+ community.
