Sugar and Skin Spa

Located in Chesapeake, VA, Sugar and Skin Spa is dedicated to helping clients relax, renew, and rejuvenate while learning to love their skin again. Established in June 2018 by owner Carol Rood, the spa has grown from a single room into a flourishing space supported by a team of twelve professionals.

Carol Rood is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Medical Assistant, and United States Navy veteran who served for 20 years as a Corpsman, working as a Neurology technician and Aviation Medical Technician. After retiring from the military in 2004, she spent 16 years working for a local dermatologist in Hampton Roads as a Medical Assistant and skin care specialist. Following the office's closure, she graduated from Chrysm Esthetics School in Virginia Beach in May 2018.

Sugar and Skin Spa offers a wide array of services designed to help clients look and feel their best. Their comprehensive menu features natural sugar waxing—a chemical-free alternative utilizing sugar, lemon juice, and water that is ideal for sensitive skin—alongside specialized facials, Skin Classic treatments, lashes, massages, and body sculpting.
