Suga Skincare was officially founded in 2019 by Angelea Iafornaro after three years of experimenting with handmade formulas and selling at local farmers’ markets. The practice grew as Angelea trained as a licensed esthetician and developed a plant-based product line, many items produced in small batches by a local San Diego chemist while a handful of signature items remain handcrafted. Herbs used in formulations are sourced from the Pacific Northwest, and the line is retailed by seventeen estheticians across the United States. The clinic also features a spa and integrative wellness space focused on mind, body, and spirit, with a storefront on La Mesa Boulevard that operates by appointment. The vision centers on helping women and men feel confident in their skin.
