Peaceful Body Wellness Retreat

Peaceful Body Wellness Retreat is a massage and bodywork studio located at 148 S Santa Fe in downtown Salina, Kansas. Founded in 2014 by Gary Martens and Larry Bunker, the practice grew out of training the pair received at Body & Soul Therapeutic Massage Center and Massage School in Wichita, along with continuing education in myofascial release techniques studied under John F. Barnes. The retreat offers a range of therapeutic massage modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, pregnancy, lymphatic, and myofascial release massage, as well as reflexology, and acupuncture provided by licensed acupuncturist K. Willow Leenders. Beyond bodywork, Peaceful Body Wellness Retreat has cultivated a community-minded space in downtown Salina, hosting First Friday Artist Receptions that showcase local artists on a rotating two-month basis alongside an in-house gallery display. Guided by a stated philosophy of "compassion, training, plus experience," the founders have built a loyal following over more than a decade in business. The studio has grown popular enough that it has reached capacity, and while it is not currently accepting new clients, it continues to serve its existing clientele by phone booking.
