Medicine of Essence

Located on New Hampshire Avenue in Hyattsville, Medicine of Essence was created to allow the mind, body, and soul to flourish as a collective. The clinic’s providers specialize in perinatal and wellness care and offer virtual and mobile in‑home services across the DMV and NYC. Co-owners Laila Moore and Nobashea House lead a team that includes certified doula SeAnna Daye. Laila is a certified birth and postpartum doula, licensed massage therapist and lactation counselor who studied nursing at the College of Southern Maryland, began doula work in 2019 and trained with DONA International and ProDoula. Nobashea brings over ten years of birth-work experience, a University of Maryland psychology background, over twenty years in the medical field, and training in body sculpting, esthetics and Reiki.
