Founded on the principle to bring honor in all we do and help restore skin to reflect inner beauty, Dermatology Institute has served Chula Vista and Coronado as a family-led practice since Dr. Peter Rullan entered private practice in 1983. Today the office is a father-daughter partnership: Dr. Rullan is joined by his daughter, Dr. Jennifer Rullan, a bilingual, board-certified dermatologist and AAD fellow, alongside physician assistant Jennifer Piper Trimai and Dr. Jacqueline McKesey. The team blends laser, medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology in a complementary approach tailored to each patient. Signature cosmetic offerings include the Rullan Quatro and Rullan Trio treatments and a phenol-croton oil deep chemical peel for acne scarring and texture, alongside Botox and neuromodulator injections, dermal fillers, Kybella, RF microneedling with Morpheus8, Sofwave, IPL, PRP therapy, and thread lifts for jawline contouring. The practice also performs upper eyelid blepharoplasty and offers medical hair-loss treatment. Serving a bilingual South Bay San Diego community, many patients have maintained relationships with the practice for 30 years or more, reflecting a long-standing reputation for combining artistic cosmetic results with dermatologic surgical expertise across two generations of the Rullan family.
